USE CASE

LiberaToe Platform

LiberaToe-4

1. Ambidextrous Mode

In general, programmable loop deals only with presets, you cannot turn on/off certain modules tentatively. LiberaToe’s Ambidextrous mode enables you to turn on/off the modules freely while using a preset.

2.png

Example
Overdrive in the loop 2 belongs to patch V, You can turn Delay on temporarily during the use of patch V without the need of adding another patch.

2. Dual Channel
Since all the LiberaToe modules support dual channel, you may take advantage of this function independently or by including it in a preset.

23.png

Example

Overdrive Level-1 (11 o’clock) and Gain-1 (11 o’clock) on the green channel is assigned to switch V for backing, Another set of Level-2 (noon) and Gain-2(1 o’clock) on the red channel is assigned to switch W for solo.
In certain modules incorporating two different effects, for example overdrive and distortion, Overdrive can be on red channel while Distortion can be on green channel.

3. Parallel Order

Effects signal sequence is normally fixed on a pedalboard. It’s bothersome in terms of efforts, time and cost to change the route on the pedalboard. LiberaToe-4’s parallel function lets you split/merge signals immediately whenever you want, by including it in a preset.

Even if you set the function on, it will not work unless both the two loops are on. So when you turn just one loop on, it is suspended. At the time when you turn the other loop on in addition, the function resumes. This feature will inspire you with creative uses.

24.png

Example

When you enable parallel function while you've allocated the U patch for turning on both Copernicus and Alter Ego, the signal will be split to both Copernicus and Alter Ego, and will be merged at the end of each, when you push U patch.

4. Tap Tempo

When you connect separate foot switch box to the LiberaToe-4, you can use universal tap tempo. It is applied to the modules receiving tap tempo control. Just press MODE/TAP foot switch on the foot switch box briefly a few times with the interval you want. Please toggle the switch on the module to enable the tap tempo in advance.

5. Switch Box

Sometimes you want the pedalboard near to your hands, not on the floor. The mutually conflict purposes, pushing switches by foot, adjusting knobs by hand can be achieved together with a separate switch box.

6. Replacing Effects per Gig

Setting up or reshuffling the effects on the pedal board is time consuming or nearly impossible due to limited space. So you are always in agony about 'to be' or 'not to be' when you have new effects. It is tedious to replace the effects, and also it's getting heavier and bigger. You often carry heavy pedalboard whose effects that you don't use often stay on. With LiberaToe's plug & play architecture, a few minutes are enough to complete the setup. You can always maintain good shape of the board.

7. Cross Compatibility Between Modules and Pedals

In general, it is hard or does degrade sonic quality to mix multi-effects with analog pedals since multi-effects does not provide easy interface to connect to the pedals world. LiberaToe’s open structure lets you use LiberaToe modules as like normal pedals on the typical pedalboard. Your preferred pedals also can be included into LiberaToe platform’s signal chain in opposite manner.

Example:

With the shell, LiberaToe-S holding one LiberaToe module, you can relocate the module on the pedalboard. You can also make preferred pedal a member of LiberaToe’s signal chain by using built-in send/return interface or semi-mix module Gnavatar having two pairs of send/return jacks.

8. Scalability

Number of effects to be used is fixed once you set up the pedalboard. It takes much time and efforts to replace or add some effects there. LiberaToe’s extension function gets you scalability when you just connect LiberaToe-6 to LiberaToe–4 platform with A-A USB cable. The two platforms will give you centrally controllable 10 slots/loops(mods to be released).

Example

LiberaToe-6 which has Fuzz/Compressor/Overdrive/Distortion/Chorus/Delay can be extended to use additional Overdrive/Boost/Tremolo/Reverb in a LiberaToe-4 together.

9. Migration Path

As LiberaToe products provide upward/downward compatibility each other, there are various starting points for using LiberaToe system as below.

MIgration Path- LiberaToe.png

Iconic Innovator

You are probably a leader in innovation. You can immediately enjoy the innovative benefits of LiberaToe.

Minimalist Essential

You are perhaps a player seeking simplicity and more convenient mobility. With dual channel, you can enjoy the benefits of virtual eight effects.

Great Scorpion

You are a performer who can use a wide variety of effects masterfully. You will experience the best system for central control of 20 analog channels given by 10 effects modules.

Sonic Sunflower

You are probably a sincere-heart who must use particular pedals. This set-up is recommended when you want to meet the purpose of ease of use with innovative features that were not available in existing programmable switchers.

Dual Channel Picker

You probably are a user who can not abandon an existing pedal board. Dual channel modules that provide boutique sound quality can be used like a standalone pedal, you can choose from a variety of effect modules while keeping the board.

10. Transformable Between Module Platform and Pedal Switcher

When you want to use LiberaToe modules since you have used pedals through the connection modules adopted-in the platform, just take out the connection modules after unbolting to plug in certain LiberaToe modules instead. Exceptionally if you want to transform the platform to a loop switcher, it is also easy to do by inserting the connection modules into the slots.

12. Value

Apart from the effects, you would need extra gears such as buffers, switcher & route dispatcher, power, patch cables, power cables, and pedalboard, velcro tape etc. that cost you much. You still can’t change certain functions in real time or in spare time though.
LiberaToe as a compact and light analog effects platform render to you economics, mobility as well as qualified sound and multi-functions in real time.

Example

Typical pedalboard costs around $1,500 ~ $2,500. It also takes a few hours to reset-up effects on the board. LiberaToe’s optimized system satisfies you with a view point of cost, time, efforts, portability, and most importantly quality sound.
